Hello kind, dear readers. Am getting ready for the Bona Fide Band shows. There are a few goals with this endeavor. The big picture is to try to express new ideas with political association. Another goal is to bring attention to Washington State rules regarding minor parties. 👉The state forces minor parties to run a presidential ticket to access certain campaign expenditure rules. I have assembled the Bona Fide Band as official Cascade Party conventions, to meet requirements for a minor party to be recognized by the state. This means we will be circulating nominating petitions for the presidential ballot. I want to make clear that anyone who signs the petition does not need to vote for the Cascade Party in November. In fact, we plan on withdrawing our candidacy. Alas, this is wonky stuff, which I am loath to explain. So, come to one of our shows and enjoy yourself. Cascade would appreciate you sign the petition, however this is not necessary to attend the show. Either way, we will love to see you!!!

The The Bona Fide Band are preparing to storm Washington. We're playing mostly Giants in the Trees and 3rd Secret songs. We include a Screeming Trees number and, shall I say, a couple of covers of covers. The first three shows are free of charge! Bringing it to the people!!!

The Bona Fide Band have been assembled for the purpose of drawing people to Cascade Party conventions. In Washington State, to be recognized as a bona fide party, the group must hold a political convention, or a series of them. Hence the name Bona Fide Band. I am the bass and accordionist. Jillian Raye and Jennifer Johnson are on vocals (Jillian will play some bass too.). Drums are original Screaming Trees drummer Mark Pickerel. Guitarist is Kathy Moore. We are putting a set together of mostly Giants in the Trees and 3rd Secret songs, but there will be covers of covers — and we visit Sreaming Trees. Even though the shows are technically political conventions, there will be very little politics. I kindly ask Washington registered voters to sign our nominating petitions. Our first announced performance is in Aberdeen at "Make Music Day" on June 21. More shows coming for June and July!
